Today Is National Peanut Butter Day!!! 3/2/2012

Here’s a simple recipe for peanut butter cookies-

Peanut Butter Cookies-

Ingredients-

  • 1 ¼ Cups Flour
  • ¾ tsp. (teaspoon) baking soda
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ½ Cup butter or margarine
  • ½ Cup PEANUT BUTTER :)
  • ½ Cup sugar
  • ½ Cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 375F and wash hands.  Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together butter, peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar.  Add the egg and vanilla, and beat.  Add the mixture of flour, baking soda, and salt.  Beat until homogeneous.   Roll the dough into one inch balls and roll in sugar.  Place sugared balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake 10-12 min.  Let cool a minute or two before removing. Enjoy :)

If you Don’t feel like going out here is a simple pancake recipe-

Ingredients-

  • 1 1/4 Cups flour
  • 2 Tblsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Tblsp cooking oil

Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.  Combine egg, milk, and oil; add all at once to flour mixture, stirring until blended but still slightly lumpy.  Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto a hot, lightly greased skillet for each standard sized pancake.  Vary amount for size.  When pancake bubbles on the side facing up it is ready to be flipped.  Cook the same amount of time on the other side.
